The Oswego Canal is an important part of the State Canal System and brought people and goods through from NYC to the Great Lakes, the midwest and beyond. George Gobel, a shipbuilder, built 35 different ships including barges, yachts, tugs, schooners and other craft at the site where the Maritime Museum and Dry Dock stand today..Festivities will begin at 1pm and include games, music, storytelling, refreshments and birthday cake!
